If you’re using lot of applications and websites, you find it difficult to remember passwords. To solve this, you can use password manager to manage all your passwords. If you want to remember desktop application to view saved passwords in outlook that runs on your PC, you can use Passwdfinder. Why should you have this freeware in your PC? I strongly recommend installing this freeware because sometimes you might forget the password of desktop apps like FTP tool, instant messengers etc. This tool comes handy at situations like that. If it is browser tool, then there is an inbuilt tool to view saved passwords in Internet explorer, chrome, Firefox.
Recover Saved Passwords on PC
PasswdFinder is a freeware utility that helps you find your lost passwords. Once installed, it will show you passwords saved by web-browsers, email clients, instant messengers, FTP clients and other programs installed on your computer.
It supports browsers like chrome, firefox, safari, opera. Instant messengers includes digsby, AIM, Google talk, MSN, Pidgin, Windows live, Yahoo! Etc. Your email clients such as outlook, thunderbird, opera email client and few more. It also saves passwords of your FTP clients, remote desktop connections, etc. You can view the full list here.
Once you’ve installed the app, run it on your machine. Then select programs which you want to recover the passwords from. You can choose the list by yourself and you will be displayed with the passwords of each program.
Note: If your computer is used by more persons, then it isn’t safe to install the program. If you’re the only one using your PC, then you can go ahead to install it.
Tip: You can hide a program from the all programs section in Windows 7. Learn it from this thread. If your computer is used by more people at your home, you can simply delete the desktop icon, shortcut icons from user profiles and totally hide the applications from all programs section.
