How to recover deleted whatsapp history android?
The default process in Whatsapp to recover chat history is by uninstalling and reinstalling the whatsapp app. When you do so, it will ask for restoring message history, and then missing chats should appear in whatsapp.
Whatsapp automatically backups every 24 hours and stores them on the microSD card of your phone. The last 7 days chat history is stored in a databases folder under whatsapp main folder. It is stored as “msgstore-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt”. When you want to backup, you need to rename the file to “msgstore.db.crypt”.
To recover your deleted whatsapp message, you need the whatsapp database.
Android users can find the db file under /sdcard/WhatsApp/Databases/msgstore.db.crypt
iPhone users can find it here net.whatsapp.WhatsApp/Documents/ChatStorage.sqlite
For iPhone – You can use an iPhone Backup Tool to get the file, e.g. I-Twin or iPhone Backup Extractor. Make sure to create an unencrypted backup with iTunes, as these tools can’t handle encrypted backups.
Once you get the db.crypt file, Go to recovermessages.com and upload the file.
You can see all the chat history, images and media files. Everything is recovered. Check the below images [screenshots]
