H1, H2, H3 tags what are they? Why are they essential for SEO? H1, H2 and H3 are html tags. There are h1 to h6 tags to define HTML headings. H1 defines the most important heading, h6 defines the least. How are they important to use in a blog post? These html tags are used on the title, sub-headings etc. As you all know, Google considers the HTML tags as an important on-page SEO factor. These tags denotes the search spiders that the title with h1 tag is important, sub headings with h2 tags are second most important.

Example: If you’re writing about “best sports car” which has an h1 tag, you can add h2 tags for sub headings like “prices of sports car”, “sports car engine specs” etc. You can further use h3 for long tail keywords like “comparison between two sports cars”. This will organize and structure the post in much better facing the SEO. If your content is more than 2000 words, you can use h4, h5, h6 tags.
