Email Opt-in WordPress Plugin to Get Emails For Subscribers List

If you want to capture email address on your blog to build a strong base of subscribers list to push out updates and affiliate product list, here is a free WordPress plugin called WP Email Capture. If you’re serious in to this business of collecting email address to build your subscribers base, then I recommend you to move out of Feedburner. You can simply export emails from Feedburner to CSV and import them to pro services like Aweber, Mail Chimp etc.

This WordPress plugin doesn’t send out emails, instead it collects the email address to build your subscribers list. Then you can export them to CSV file and use Aweber or Mail Chimp to send out emails.

WP Email Capture is WordPress email marketing and list building plugin that creates two form fields for capturing emails such as Name & Email. Email is double opt-in and allows you to forward opt in to services such as eBooks or software. Once you’re done with collecting email address, simply export the list into your chosen email marketing service and blast it.

It captures emails for your subscribers list. Upon subscribing, you can redirect your readers to a landing page where you can thank them for subscribing and also remind them to confirm their subscription. The confirmation link will be sent as an email to their inbox. So once they’ve confirmed; it will be redirected to the success page where you offer them rewards/gifts for subscription. This page usually contains download links to your PDF eBooks, free Softwares that you offer.

Internet marketers love it because; sometimes the best way not to get on your potential subscriber’s nerves is to present your opt-in forms in as simple a manner as possible. This plugin fits that description quite well and, with the help of the widget option, stay as unintrusive as possible to those visiting your site.

It is very simple to use. Once you install it from your WP dashboard, activate the plugin. Then you need to create two pages on your WordPress site. First a landing page for Subscription and Second landing page for Confirmation.

The Subscription page can have little details about your company or blog and remind the visitor about confirmation link in their email inbox. Also you need to mention that, only if they confirm their email address they would be getting the free gifts and goodies that you offer.

Next, on the confirmation page you need to provide download links for the confirmed subscriber. Once they click the confirmation link on the email inbox, they will be redirected to the confirmation page. So create these two pages and update with the links on the settings page of WP Email Capture.

The settings of WP Email Capture has option to fill Page to redirect to on sign up, Page to redirect to on confirmation of email address, From which email address you have to send confirmation link, From which name, subject of the email, body of the email etc. To have a personal touch on emails that you send, you can use %NAME% so that it captures the Name field that the subscriber has entered. So the emails which you automate give them a personal touch.

Finally, save the changes and go to the widgets section. You can find the WP Email Capture widget, simply drag and drop them into your sidebar.  You can also insert the email opt-in form into the site at any location using the below code. For example: You can use it below your blog post etc.

First insert the below code in to your functions file in your template.

<?php if (function_exists('wp_email_capture_form')) { wp_email_capture_form(); } ?>

Then you can use this short code in any of the post or page.

WP Email Capture does what exactly most of them wants. Simply collect email addresses and easily outputs.
