Tumblr Like Reblog button in WordPress.com Relaunched

One of the highlights that Tumblr is liked by many people is mainly because of the ‘Reblog’ button. If suppose you love a tumblr blog post, you can ‘reblog’ it via your tumblr blog that will gain more attention and people loves this feature. So, WordPress.com has relaunched a feature which was part of their platform ‘Reblog’ button now again.

This ‘Reblog’ button appears on top bar of WordPress.com blogs where you can use the reblog button to share the post you are reading on your own blog.

You can reblog blog posts from any wordpress.com blogs from their top bar or you can just reblog using the wordpress.com feed reader. You can reblog posts directly from your reader, which displays a stream of all the updates published on all the blogs you follow from your WordPress.com account.

Also make a note that you’ll only see the like and reblog options while you’re looking at individual posts. It doesn’t work on the homepage. For example : it works only on abc.wordpress.com/2012/01/24/hello-world.html and not on abc.wordpress.com

Here is snippet from the WordPress.com on How the reblogging feature works :

” When a post is reblogged, it shows up with a link back to the blog it came from, the first image in the post, an excerpt of the post’s introduction (if it contains text), and thumbnails of any other images that the post contains. It also shows any comments left by the person who reblogged the post ”

All reblogs contain a link back to your original post, so the more people reblog your posts, the more likely it is that you’ll attract new visitors.
