Android apps to Help Quit Smoking

This might sound crazy, because there are many health guides that advices you on how to quit smoking and how to overcome the addiction, but how come these android apps will help in quit smoking addiction. I know quitting can seem so hard, but with regular practice and tips you can easily overcome it. I just read this post ” 50 Creative and Crazy Ways to Quit Smoking Once and for All ” – Just loved it. So adding to it, lets discuss some of the creative android apps that helps you in the process of quitting smoking.

Quit Now :

A simple android app with a minimal user interface that helps you to record you non-smoking days and by that it displays what are all the benefits you get from it in a graphical style. On the main screen, you have health, gallery, achievements, settings etc.

When you click on the health icon, it displays technical details from your number of non-smoking days such as the ‘sudden death risk lowered by 5%’, your taste and smell senses regained by 3% etc. If you keep entering the non-smoking days, you get to unlock achievements. There are total of 15 achievements that you can unlock. Fun little app. must try!

Quit Smoking :

Quit smoking is a widget application that calculates based on statistical data from other users, and it’s continuously adjusted to your specific smoking pattern. It helps you to gradually wean you from dependency on cigarettes.

Once you’ve installed the app, go to homescreen, touch and hold an empty space to popup the option from that add widgets and select Quit (standard).

Smoke Control :

Yet another app with interactive user interface that uses flings/swypes to guide your way through different statistics and graphs. Just enter the number of smoking counts and it summarize your progress, and indicate if you are allowed to smoke again, or better wait some more. Download the app from android market.
