How to convert your Google+ posts to a blog

Google+ has proven to be not only a social network, but also a great platform for blogging. Many early adopters have been using Google+ to create helpful content and share insightful tips publicly. Maybe you too have adopted this practice and created a stream of really valuable or otherwise noteworthy posts on Google+.

Bloggers who wanted to share the content from their Google+ profiles with their blog readers, used to have to rewrite and practically recreate their posts from Google+ for their regular blogs, but not anymore!

Pluss.es is a brand new, hosted blogging platform which allows you to create a Google+ powered blog. It easily converts all your public Google Plus posts to blog posts. Your blog will include all photos, videos and comments found on your posts. It will be updated on a daily basis. The best part is that the service is completely free currently.

If you don’t have a blog and have never had one, this is a chance to create a blog in just a few clicks – literally.

Creating your own Google+ powered blog is very simple. Follow the next three super-easy steps and become a blogger in a matter of seconds:

1. Go to Pluss.es.

2. Click on the green button Sign in to create your own Google+ Blog

3. In the next step, Pluss.es requests permission to access your Google+ account. Click on the button Allow access. In a matter of seconds, you will be looking at your new blog.

Your blog can be customized. In order to customize it, click on Settings.

There you can change the following settings:

Theme. Change the default Minimalise light to a dark theme if you want. However, there are only two themes to choose from currently.
Photos. Control whether you want to include photos or not.
Number of posts. Choose how many posts you want displayed on the page.
Post summaries. Choose whether you want your posts summarized on the front page or not.

On the Publishing page, you can select the posts that you would like to be displayed on your blog. Pluss.es by default imports and displays all your publically displayed posts, but you can uncheck the box next to each of your posts if you want to remove them from the blog.

This seems to be just the beginning for this cool, hosted blogging platform. Daniel has really big plans for Pluss.es. In the future, we may be able to customize the style of our blog any way we want with custom CSS stylesheets and use subdomains for accessing our blog – for example: yourname.pluss.es

It is safe to say that blogging has never been easier and more fun. At the same time, you can share content on this new and exciting social network and create content for your own blog. You practically create content and socialize at the same time. This is certainly a great way to increase your online presence and visibility.
