Adobe Edge HTML5 Animation Editor

Adobe has released a new HTML5 animation editor that is based only on HTML5, CSS, Javascript. All these days Adobe is known for its Flash technology, but with this beta app which is purely based on HTML5 it marks his interests on HTML5 too.

Adobe Edge is a new web motion and interaction design tool that allows designers to bring animated content to websites, using web standards like HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3. As of now, Adobe Edge is on beta stage with few bug issues, but it has something to silence the critics.

With its HTML5 background, it adds rich motion design to new or existing HTML projects, that runs beautifully on devices and desktops. It features a familiar timeline in which designers can define the events and stages of the animation. Animations can be created by importing image file formats such as SVG, PNG, JPG or GIF files.

With its timeline editor, you can easily setup animation position, size, color, shape, rotation and more at the property level. It has more than 25 built-in easing effects for added creativity. So Edge is a standalone software application that works independently of other tools. Graphics that are created using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Fireworks and Adobe Photoshop can be added to your composition in Edge. HTML documents using CSS-based layouts created in products like Adobe Dreamweaver can also be opened in Edge.
