In the age of online music store , one may ask what is the use of these rippers ?. The reason behind that is many audio cd which i bought long time back were getting scratched beyond repair and i had to save the content . My search ended with CDex. CDex as its name suggests , is a CD-Extrator .This is a open source software that allow you to extract audio content from a CD.After Extraction the audio can be saved in plain .wav format or can be compressed to other popular formats

I don’t know what you guys use to rip music from CDs but I recently came across a great software. It’s definitely the easiest to use, and the music is excellent quality. http://www.smartcdripper.com
