Map.to is a simple web service where you can search for places and find them. You can also get custom shorten URL’s for sharing maps with friends and on social networks. If you have the external link of maps such as from Google maps URL or Yahoo maps URL, you can directly shorten the link with map.to custom shortening URL service.
Just jump into Map.to and start locating places. Once you’ve located, choose your custom alias. For example, you can create custom URL link like (http://map.to/chennai) – this link will locate the map of Chennai, India. You can now share this shorten url on twitter, Facebook, delicious, stumbleupon, mail to friends or even bookmark the page for future reference.
