Integrate, Add Facebook to Gmail account

Do you check your mail on the web Gmail ? Are you a regular user of Facebook ? Just integrate or sync your Facebook account inside your Gmail acount and save some time. You don’t have to login Facebook everytime to check your update or to update your status, just browse the mail and Facebook in one single interface. It is simple to sync your Facebook and Gmail account. Let’s see..

Guide on How To Add Facebook to Gmail account :

Login to your Gmail account, Click on the settings at the top right side

Go to Gmail Labs from the navigation menu.

On the page that appears, now locate the labs feature ‘Add any gadget by URL’

Select Enable and then, click Save Changes.

You will be redirected to the inbox of Gmail. Click the top link on the right settings.

Now click on the tab ‘Gadgets’ on the navigation menu.

On the page, You can see a text box where you need to enter the URL of the Gadget. In the text field, paste the following address:

http://hosting.gmodules.com/ig/gadgets/file/104971404861070329537/facebook.xml

The above mentioned url is the Facebook gadget that need to be added inside Gmail account. Click Add.

In the left column, below the Gmail chat box, you can see the Facebook gadget. You can access your Facebook information by clicking on the link expand.

Now you can see the Facebook opening to your right pane, login to your Facebook account and access it completely. You can check out your friends stream, your wall posts, you can comment, like status, update your status etc.

So simple isn’t it ? There is also a chrome extension for it, but the Facebook Gmail Integration extension for chrome lacks support from the developer.
