When ever I write about some interesting chrome extensions, people ask me the same extension for Firefox browser. Sometimes, the add-on developer may have released the extension for both Chrome and Firefox browsers. Sometimes, they have developed only for Google chrome. Majority of the users are still Firefox addicts. So to all Firefox users who’re jealous about chrome extensions, now you can use Chrome extensions in Firefox using Google chrome extensions manager.
Google chrome extensions manager is a Firefox addon that allows you to use google chrome extensions inside firefox. Let’s take a look on how to install a google chrome extension inside Firefox with step by step tutorial.
How to install Google chrome extensions manger Firefox extension ?

How to install a google chrome extension inside Firefox ?
Open Google Chrome (as Firefox browser doesn’t allow you to download extensions)
Go to https://chrome.google.com/extensions?hl=en-US.
Download an extension package.(right click the install button and copy the link location, open a new tab and paste the link and download the crx file directly)
Extract it (you have to rename the crx file to a zip file and extract it).
Go to your firefox profile folder (something like “C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\86tc9fbi.default\” under windows).
Go to the folder “extensions\googlechromeextensions@matoeil.fr\extensions\”.
Create a folder here, name it has the extension key preferably (something like “okngcjknhihjbpiencaanffnfcdlafic” for example).
copy & paste content of previously extracted package into this new folder.
That’s it. Just restart firefox now.
If you click on the “tools” menu, “Google Chrome addons” submenu, You’ll see extensions currently installed

I was thought that Chrome could lap Firefox if they allowed the installation of Firefox extensions. Pretty funny that the open developers that produce Firefox add-ons did the opposite first.
@Steve I was thinking the same thing. That is funny. There was a point in time when I thought that Flock would give Firefox some competition. No one suspected Google…. (Evil Laugh)
