On the past we had seen many interesting features on Google maps such as measuring distances between places, saving maps for offline use etc. Today let’s see how to find interesting places around any place in the world with the help of Google maps.
Suppose If you’re about to travel to a place and ever wanted to know what are all the interesting places that are available around the place, then with the ‘What’s Around Here?’ Google map labs feature, you can find out most-popular places in the map.
First you need to enable the labs feature on Google maps.Go to maps.google.co.in, Click on the New (with lab symbol) on top right side, now enable ‘What’s Around Here?’ feature.
Now once you’ve enabled the feature, you can see ‘Around Here’ button next to the search button on the top. You can search places and hit the Around here button, it will show you the list of places around the place which you have queried.
Using this feature you can know what are all the interesting places around it with exact address and phone numbers if available. Now start exploring it !
