Use Multiple Versions of Internet Explorer on Windows Machine

Have you ever wanted to test your website with different versions of Internet explorer from your computer, but not able to do so since Windows doesn’t allow more than a single version of IE by default. If yes, you’ve come to the right post.

Multiple IE is an excellent software to install multiple versions of Internet Explorer (V3, 4, 5.01, 5.5, 6 and 7). The best thing is it does not affect your current version of Internet explorer in anyway. This software hasn’t been very popular, but is a potential tool to check your website in IE 6. Since many users are still using the decade-old browser, this step becomes necessary.

Multiple IE installation

This software sadly does not run well on Windows Vista and Windows 7 as they don’t support IE6 and older browsers, But, is still worth trying if you are running Windows XP. Trying to run IE 6 on my Vista machine popped up an error as shown in the picture.

Future versions of this software might include support for Windows 7 and IE 8 packaged with it since IE 9 is coming out pretty soon. You can download this software using any of the links below.
