Error : Cannot delete a file, It is being used by another person or program ? – Solved


Many a times, we face this error on deleting a file, rename a file or folder in windows. It will annoy us by throwing an error message box saying ” Cannot delete xxx(filename/folder) It is being used by another person or program” Not only this, we can also solve errors which says ” Cannot delete file: Access is denied, There has been a sharing violation etc. Unlocker is the solution !!

Unlocker is a simple free tool which will help you overcoming this scandalous Windows bug. All you need to do is, just download and install the unlocker. It will show you in your right click context menu, simply right click the file or folder. After right clicking the folder, select Unlocker link, You’re done !

Steps to be followed –

1. Simply right click the file or folder and select Unlocker.

2. If the file or folder is locked then a window will appear with a list of processes locking the file or folder.

3. Select the locks and click Unlock and you are done.

    > restarting your system works in 90% of the cases too
    > try in safe mode (works in 99% of cases)

    Why not to use the “Long Path Tool” useful utility? It is too simple and quick, which can solve all related error problems. Just go to Google and search for “Long Path Tool”.
