The next time when you’re trying out a new restaurant but want to check out the menu first, Grab your iPhone/iPod touch and take a look at MenuPages. It can help you in selecting a cuisine or specific dish and delivers a list of restaurants around the location.
MenuPages (GPS-enabled iPhone app) manages to get into the MenuPages, the popular restaurant menu database site which covers eight cities across the U.S. The list includes New York City, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Washington DC, and a more regional “South Florida” area.
The app lets users choose a type of cuisine, restaurant name, or specific dish, and then delivers a map or list of restaurants centered around the user’s location. The list can be further refined by price, outdoor seating, kid-friendly, meal, or other features.
The app includes listings for nearly 30,000 restaurants, and contains menus, addresses, phone numbers, hours, and whether each restaurant accepts credit cards.
The app is free and worth picking up if you live in, or are traveling to, any of these cities.
