Usually your windows operating system will auto-update, your antivirus will also auto-update and keep you safe. but how about your daily use applications like Firefox, Google chrome, uTorrent, etc ? We often forget to check to see if there are newer versions available. So, for that we today have two simple ways by which you can keep track of latest updates of your fav. application.

Why you need to update your software ? Usually software updates add new features, which makes the software more useful. Also with every update a software becomes more secure and more stable by fixing bugs & vulnerabilities from previous versions.

Update Checker will scan your computer for installed software, check the versions and then send this information to FileHippo.com to see if there are any newer releases. These are then neatly displayed in your browser for you to download. Update Checker works on any Windows PC running Vista, XP, 2003, 2000, ME or 98. It requires that the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 is installed, which you may download directly from here.
