I have been using Snagit for a quite long time, However when I came to know about Zscreen I’m very much impressed. It’s more than a screen capture tool. It can handle more than images on your clipboard like Url, text, files and can send them to dozen places with the tap of a hotkey.

ZScreen is an open-source screen capture program for Microsoft Windows. It can upload screenshots, pictures, text & files and put the URL in your clipboard in a single keystroke. It is so configurable and integrates with many online services like imageshack, tinypic, flickr, twitpic etc.

Just download Zscreen and install it on your Pc. Make sure that you have .NET 3.5 framework to run Zscreen. After downloading and installing the Zscreen, first when opening, it ask you for destination to save the images and then You can also upload screenshot images to your own personal account in image hosting services like tinypic, imageshack etc.

ZScreen now supports even more destinations online: You can send the images to FTP servers, RapidShare, SendSpace, Flickr, ImageShack, TinyPic, ImageBam, even a Mindtouch Deki install. You can also set up captures on a timer and configure hotkeys for each individual capture type: full screen, region, window, freehand.

It has image editors and Color picker too, which helps you to know the particular hex code of the color.

For the Text side you have Pastebin, Paste2 and Slexy while making it easy to upload text snippets. Watermark tab lets you pick a text or image watermark. It has Auto-update (via code.google.com) and has windows 7 shell integration features. Mouse over the superbar icon and buttons appear for crop shot, selected window, and clipboard upload.

The hotkey tab, where you can change the keys for the functions and access them with a tap of your favorite key.

Finally it has a Twitter integration and uses OAuth. thanks for not asking username and password. Just try Zscreen once and You will surely love it.
