We have already seen YouTube like website specially designed for kids, but today we have a full operating system for kids alone. It’s an adobe AIR based application for children’s learning and entertainment. Now, its purely like kids system. Parents don’t have to worry about files being accidentally deleted or settings being changed by kids by mistake.

Kidos is a child-friendly and lightly animated interface lets children easily use all sorts of media: games, books, learning applications, music, video, and art. Best of all, it works on any Mac, PC, or Linux computer and it’s free!

All you need to do is, just download the adobe AIR based application and install it on your pc, before that please create an account on kidos.

After the installation you can create an account for yourself (parents) and for your child.

The programs can be started in two modes(two logins), one is for parents and another for child. Parents can customize the Kidos for their kids. As it has built-in web browser that allows your child to see only web sites that you have added for him.

When the application is launched in kids mode, it opens in full screen mode and restricts the access to parents mode, so that you don’t have to worry about deletion of files or any data by the kid.

@Gurupreet @vijay @Ajeet – thank you guys.. yay, its a very good move.. mainly focusing on unwanted use of websites and files by kids and another thing is ITS COMPLETELY FREE !!
